Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth with These Snickers-Inspired Rice Krispie Treats

This dessert combines two of my favorites: Rice Krispie treats and Snickers! I love the sweet and salty combination in this easy-to-make Snickers Inspired Rice Krispie Treats dessert. And the best part? It's made using just a few ingredients in the microwave! The ingredients and the steps for putting this delicious treat together are below. Snickers-Inspired Rice Krispie Treat


Snickers-Inspired Rice Krispie Treats


Prep Time: 15 Minutes

What You'll Need:

  • 3 Tbsp. butter

  • 1 12 oz. bag of marshmallows

  • 1 12 box of crispy rice cereal

  • 1 11oz bag of caramels

  • 1/4 cup heavy cream

  • 4 cups of milk chocolate chips

  • 1 cup salted peanuts

  • 9x13 in baking dish

  • Non-stick spray

  • Wax paper, optional

What to do:

  1. Melt the butter in a large microwave-safe bowl.

  2. Pour the bag of marshmallows into the butter and toss to coat. Melt the marshmallows in the microwave until puffy, about 2 minutes.

3. Add the cereal to the marshmallows and mix well. Pour into a greased 9x13 baking dish.


4. Use a spatula or wax paper to firmly press the rice krispie treats down.

5. In another microwave-safe bowl, unwrap the caramels and add in the heavy cream.


6. Melt the caramel and cream in the microwave for about 2 minutes. Stir well.

7. Pour the salted peanuts over the rice krispies. Then, cover them with the caramel.


8. Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl at 30-second intervals until melted and smooth. Or, use the double-boiler method. You can find the directions here.

9. Pour the melted chocolate on top of the caramel and spread it smooth.


10. Allow the chocolate to harden and then enjoy!
