What You'll Need to Make This Boursin Cheese Appetizer
About 4 strips of bacon cut into thin strips
1 small onion, thinly sliced
1 tsp of minced garlic
1 Tbsp. of balsamic vinegar
Black pepper, to taste
1 (5.2 oz.) package of Garlic and Herb Boursin Cheese
2 Tbsp. fresh chopped chives, optional
Your favorite bread or crackers for dipping
What You'll Do:
In a large skillet, cut your bacon into small pieces and cook them on medium-high heat until they're crispy. Remove the bacon with a slotted spoon to leave the bacon grease and set it aside in a small bowl.
Next, cook your thinly sliced onion in the same pan, using the bacon grease to flavor it. Turn the heat to low and saute the onions for about 25-30 minutes until they're golden and caramelized.
Once the onion is fully cooked, add the garlic and saute it for about a minute. Then, stir in the balsamic vinegar and the cooked bacon. Season your mixture with black pepper.
Place the Boursin on a serving dish and spoon the hot bacon and onion topping over the cheese.
Garnish with chives and serve with your favorite bread or crackers.
